SMS Terms and Conditions

Program and enrollment

Fredericksburg Country Club offers optional SMS communications. Service messages include tee time and reservation confirmations and changes, member service communications, operational updates, and closure notices. Separately selected event and promotional messages include event announcements, invitations, activities, and offers. Requested account verification codes may also be sent when you choose SMS verification. We send only the categories you authorize.

You may enroll using the optional SMS consent section of a membership application or a separate consent form. You may also request enrollment by email or in person. The club will provide the disclosures and obtain your affirmative selection before enrollment. Event and promotional enrollment requires the separate written or electronic authorization described in our consent process. Membership and purchases do not require SMS consent.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on your selections, reservations, club activity, and verification requests. Message and data rates may apply to messages sent or received. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your plan.

Stopping messages and rejoining

Reply STOP to a club text to withdraw consent. We will stop further program messages to that number, except for a single non-promotional confirmation of your opt-out. You may also request removal through michael@fredclub.org or (540) 373-1657. We honor other clear requests to stop texts. Do not assume that opting out of one category leaves another active; contact the club to confirm your preferences. To rejoin, complete a new affirmative opt-in through our enrollment process.

Verification codes and delivery

When offered, SMS verification requires you to select SMS and request a code for your number. Requesting a code does not enroll you in member announcements or promotions. Never share a verification code. If SMS is unavailable or you have opted out, contact the club for another verification method. SMS delivery is not guaranteed and must not be relied on as an emergency notification service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy and number changes

Our SMS Privacy Addendum is available in the business office. Notify us when your number changes or is reassigned. Updated terms will be posted at the reception desk. Material expansion of the messages covered by your consent requires new consent where applicable.
